Do you have a surplus of garden produce or locally-produced foods you’d like to donate to food banks and food pantries?

To minimize waste and direct locally-produced foods where they are needed, N.C. Cooperative Extension – Randolph County Center has compiled a Local Foods Donation Directory with information on how to donate to food assistance organizations in Randolph County.

Focus was placed on fresh and frozen produce, proteins (i.e., meat, cheese, eggs), and other minimally processed products produced in the region.

Information in the Local Foods Donation Directory includes:

  • How to donate
  • When donations are accepted
  • What is needed
  • Contact information about making a donation

If you are in need of a county directory of feeding programs or food pantries, please access the Randolph County Food Assistance Resource Guide. This directory details food assistance resources and instructions on how to access them. Please call (336)- 683-8010 or email Cheryl Benford for further information, or to suggest edits to the Randolph County Food Assistance Resource Guide.

If you have additional questions about this project or want to suggest edits to the Donation Directory, please email Annie Mills or call 336-318-6003. Special thanks to our summer intern, Jane Sayner who helped make the Directory available.
